The Mija Chronicles

Mexican food and culture, on both sides of the border

Five things to love about Huntsville, Alabama

September 14, 2009 by Lesley Tellez

One beautiful baby boy.

Perhaps the cutest seven-month-old baby ever

With the most luscious thighs, and plump little marshmallow feet.

Plump little thighs and marshmallow feet, on my favorite seven-month-old baby. (He's a friend's child.)

The deviled eggs from Mullin’s Restaurant, a Huntsville classic. The filling is creamy, with just a hint of mustard.

BISCUITS. LOTS OF BISCUITS. Oh god these were good.

The lush, pretty trees growing alongside the road.

Spending time with some of our favorite people in the whole world.

We’re on to South Carolina next.

Hope y’all have a good rest of your trip. Stupid Bears played like crap last night, hope that everyone has recovered.

It’s 5:25 am here, and I just stumbled upon your blog while I was google’ing for Mexican political history.
After a few minutes of browsing through some posts, I have to say this:

You have made me so hungry at this hour of night, just by the glimpses of these incredible looking foods, that suddenly life appeared to have a meaning for me… OK, I may have exaggerated the feeling a bit, within the hunger and excitement of moment. But they all look so delicious..

    Cheers

You can see how sincere I was about that last comment just by noticing the fact that I’ve spent 10 minutes staring at those eggs and biscuits, instead of completing my sentences and submitting the comment.

    Cheers yet again..
